Well-known Atlanta Realtor and valued Valiant Marketing client Bruce Logue (PalmerHouse Properties) was recently named the 2020 Member of the Year by OUT Georgia Business Alliance. Familiar with acting and reacting on the fly, Realtors have weathered the pandemic better than many other fields. Logue has shared his insight on the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and his business.

The pandemic has created a rise in trust-based communication strategies and has amplified the need for transparency about safety measures and aligning with client concerns. He states this has been a year of flexibility, and in response to customer concerns about their safety, he has developed processes to ensure his clients are protected from COVID-19. His initiatives, such as virtual tours for listings, asking visitors to wear masks, providing foot coverings and gloves for home viewings, and virtual showings through Zoom have led to positive client interactions. Logue says using his flexibility through providing commercial real estate services contributed to his success.

Although the pandemic affected his business at the beginning of the year, Logue says this has been his most successful year and that the branding of his business has garnered him a lot of attention and many referrals. In changing times, ask yourself how your marketing has been affected and where new opportunities exist. It's important to ensure that your cultural narratives and business principles are in step with clients’ perspectives. Brands who continued to invest in their marketing invariably came out the other side better than their peers who held back

Remaining customer-centric and sensitive to the pandemic while communicating new developments in your business will ensure continued loyalty. Logue's advice to others? Remember your goal is to build relationships – forget about selling. Use love, appreciation, and generosity in your messaging. Be genuine, and use personal notes to keep in touch with former clients and referral partners. If you stop communicating, you're likely to lose a good portion of your customers to competitors who are still communicating with them.
